Regular practice of these postures relieves muscle tension and nervous stress, improves digestion, strengthens the cardiovascular system, tunes and energizes the chakras, and leads to deep relaxation and well-being. It keeps you from being ground down by circumstance. I know very little about kundalini or mindfulness meditation, and I found these practical introductions useful.

While the author does explain the method well, he also goes into great depth about what Chakras really are, and even more basically, what the energy system is that exists within all of us and how we can come to understand and use that system to our own benefit.
